Taste of Bonaire, the island's most fun culinary event

Last Saturday there was another Taste of Bonaire on the island. This was the fourth edition of the culinary event for this year. The theme this time was "Summer".

Taste of Bonaire is a popular event on the island. Both people who live on Bonaire and visitors to the island come time and again in large numbers to this cozy event. For Taste of Bonaire, the Wilhelmina Park, in the center of Kralendijk, was transformed into an atmospheric event location. The square, and the area around it, will be completely free of traffic so you can enjoy strolling around.

During the event, there are dozens of booths offering delicious cooking. Both local dishes and international cuisine will be represented. You can taste typical Bonairean dishes such as sòpi (soup) or kabritu stobà (goat stew). But there are also stands selling Greek or Asian dishes, for example. The portions of the dishes are often not very large, giving you the opportunity to try something tasty at several stands.

Tip: Want to know where you can eat good food? Look for the stand with the longest queue waiting, then you can be sure you're in the right place.

In addition to having many booths selling delicious food, there are also booths selling the tastiest drinks. Will you go for a cold, local beer? Or would you rather drink fresh juice from a coconut? Or will you go for a delicious cocktail? Plenty of choice in any case. There will also be stands selling souvenirs from Bonaire, jewelry, plants and other gadgets.

Entertainment

Of course there will also be entertainment. During Taste of Bonaire there are always musical performances by local bands. Regularly there are also local dance groups to admire. During this edition, the candidates for Miss Teen Bonaire 2023 were also presented to the public and several groups were honored.

Would you like to attend Taste of Bonaire? The event is organized several times a year. The evenings usually last from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The next time Taste of Bonaire will be held on September 30, 2023. The event is free to attend and suitable for young and old.
