Westjet connects Canadian Toronto to Bonaire

Canadian airline WestJet Airlines will offer flights between Toronto and Bonaire starting December 12, 2023. The flights will be non-stop. The flights will depart every Tuesday from Canada's Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). The flights will continue until mid-April 2024.

This is the first time the Canadian airline is coming to our island. In addition, it is also the first time that Toronto will be connected to Bonaire non-stop. This new connection has made it much easier for Canadians to reach our island. Canadian travelers no longer have to travel through the United States of America for their vacation to Bonaire. They can now board in Toronto for a non-stop flight to Bonaire. It has also become easier for Canadian homeowners on Bonaire to travel between our island and Canada.

Canada is in the top 10 best performing markets for Bonaire. Even more Canadians are expected to trade the cold during the winter months in their home country for the warmth of Bonaire.

From Bonaire to Canada

For Bonaireans or Canadians living here, it is also possible to take advantage of WestJet Airlines' new scheduled flights. The airline will also offer tickets from Bonaire to Toronto. In addition, the airline will introduce a local initiative at a discounted rate. This will allow Bonaireans to get acquainted with Canada.

For WestJet Airlines, the route between Toronto and Bonaire is the only new route for this winter season. With the shortage of aircraft and crew, airlines are having a lot of trouble adding new capacity to the existing network. WestJet Airlines is Canada's second largest airline. The airline has a codeshare agreement with Dutch carrier KLM. For more information and to book flights, visit the airline's website:
